On this full-day adventure we enjoy a scenic 2 hour drive as we journey southeast of Nashville and deep into the heart of the Cumberland Plateau to the largest state protected wilderness in Tennessee. We will hike alongside beautiful creeks, opportunity to see several waterfalls, view an abandoned coal mine, amazing rock formations, clifftop canyon views, and a Continental Trail Wreck! That's right! We get to see up close and in-person the result of when two continental plates collided some 270 million years ago. How cool is that!?

This is a 12 mile hike alongside beautifully pristine creeks. Relaxing sounds of flowing rapids and birds fill the air as we enjoy our day hiking in one of the best nature preserves in Tennessee. Along with all the inspiring water works, you will enjoy the stunning rock formations and spectacular views.

Worth noting: this trail is rated as one of Backpacker Magazine's Top 25 hikes in the U.S.!!

Warning: This is a canyon hike - meaning most of the elevation gain doesn't kick in until around mile 5. During this 0.8 mile climb to the top of the canyon, we will encounter grades up to 55%.
